Professional supervision is a critical step for everyone during their professional journey. It provides an accountable, two-way process which supports, motivates and enables the development of good practice. Supervision also provides an opportunity to reflect upon theoretical knowledge and link it to every-day clinical practice. In doing so, professionals gain a greater awareness and understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, improve their practical skills, reduce their professional stress and develop their unique practitioner style.
I offer professional supervision to multi-disciplinary professionals, within disciplines including health (e.g. clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, physiotherapists, and medical doctors and nurses) and education (e.g. headteachers, teachers and school counsellors).
In addition to individual supervisions, I also offer organisations the choice of providing group supervisions for their professionals. Though group supervisions cannot substitute for one-to-one supervisions, they are able to reduce the frequency with which one-to-one supervisions are needed and allow the team to learn from, and share with, each other.
